Daily reminder: Type-Moon fans can't read

I don’t even care about this verse anymore. It’s dead, replaced by a hollow shell mindlessly supported by people who can’t make a logical connection even if their lives depended on it. I made this blog simply because I just had the displeasure of accidentally witnessing these kids still coping over the same tired arguments, like they have nothing better to do.

More specifically, they are whining about how, in Melty Blood Actress Again, Ryougi Shiki canonically slaughtered Archetype Earth:

Yet somehow TM fanboys are still screeching: “i-it’s ambiguous, the Japanese doesn’t say that!!”

Alright, let’s put this stupidity to rest:

It literally parses to:

“A further fate, called god-slaying, was awaiting her.”

There is no wiggle room.

So let’s recap:

-Three independent sources: two machine TLs plus a grammar breakdown, all say awaited her.

The only people still crying “ambiguous” are those who can’t comprehend language in general and can’t handle their headcanon being obliterated. The only “translation” supporting their argument exists solely in their heads, conditioned by bias.

You seriously can’t make this up. These people are so absurdly pathetic and self-centered that they’d gaslight you into thinking a sentence about a destiny of god-slaying awaiting someone is “unclear.”

I have genuinely never seen a fanbase as delusional as Type-Moon’s. They’re so fried from mindlessly jacking off to whatever GO pulls out that they’ve lost the cognitive ability to keep up with elementary-level logic.

The worst part? This is irrelevant. Ryougi forced God’s Word to retreat, who is far more powerful than Archetype: Earth in the first place. And she killed an infinite void of nothingness. Do you know just how absurdly superior to foddertype Earth that is? There could be an infinite amount of infinite different variations of Archetype and none would come close to the sheer potential and undefined boundaries of Araya’s Mugen: an infinite void where infinite possible things could occur yet remain contained, explicitly designed to embody the Taiji (the model of all existence according to how Yin and Yang interact). Yet Ryougi still killed it effortlessly, with Touko even mocking Araya for thinking it could challenge her.

Her feats and statements simply place her above the fodder by default: she can constantly reconstruct her body on the level of the void preceding matter, automatically countering any threat; her MEoDP can kill even “immortal” entities by erasing the form they use to express their essence and interact with reality; her Origin passively makes her immune to reality-warping that surpasses Ultimate One’s tier (direct editing of creation’s records).

On top of that, her self-hypnosis state embodies Akasha itself, bypassing all definable limits; distance, protections, perception. This is just basic reading comprehension of the novel, yet these morons, having neither read nor understood it, have been trained to believe it’s “unfathomable.” When it’s literally the equivalent of reading Fate and deducing that Gilgamesh stomps Kirei.

And there’s much more stupidity at hand outside of the absurdly one-sided Arcueid vs Ryougi topic, such as “focusing on details is bad!” No, details are what separate someone who understands a work from someone who just consumes it passively. In literature, film, law, or science, details ground your arguments. Skip them, and you’re hand-waving. Calling that a “bad thing” is just admitting you don’t want your sloppy takes challenged.

Or this gem: “death of the author is dehumanizing!” LMAO. Snowflake mentality. Authors aren’t gods; they contradict themselves, retcon, or just make mistakes. Good critique doesn’t treat every word as gospel; it tests statements against internal logic, consistency, and thematic weight. If something shatters coherence, the healthy response isn’t “the author is right”, it’s “the author fumbled.” Otherwise, you’re not engaging with art, you’re worshipping a brand. Tons of beloved works live because fans reconstruct sloppy or vague parts. Without that, half of “classics” would just look like messes. Good fiction almost invites that reconstruction; meaning doesn’t exist solely in the creator’s head.

In fact, let me go further on this:

Why these people's blind acceptance of whatever Nasu says is genuinely hypocritical:

1. Nasu Himself Says "Old Nasu" is Dead

In his Kara no Kyoukai movie interview, Nasu flat-out states he is no longer the same writer:

“When I wrote Kara no Kyoukai, I felt resistance towards so many things, society, entertainment, culture, and it was my motivation to write the story. Now, I am thrilled to be writing from a place of gratitude, though with just a touch of sadness. It feels like the old Nasu Kinoko has passed on. I suppose you could say I've gone under a heavy detox, and feel much more virtuous now (laughs).”

This is direct proof that his worldview, style, and thematic intent completely shifted. Treating both “old Nasu” and “new Nasu” as one continuous infallible writer is already invalid; he himself splits them.

2. His Own Works Contradict Each Other

Nasu admitted the sequel to Kara no Kyoukai years later was essentially a “Frankenstein” sequel to a “perfect ending.” In his own words, it didn’t reflect the intent or message of the original story.

  • This means later works are not sacred expansions of the original vision, but patchwork continuations.
  • The contradiction between KnK and its sequel alone proves “Nasu is always right” collapses.

3. Nasu Acknowledges Plotholes and Inconsistencies

In his talk with Honkai: Star Rail writer Yakitori, Nasu openly admits:

“It’s difficult to organize these increasingly large settings, but fortunately, since I started working on FGO, the number of ‘information managers other than myself’ has increased, including other writers and Rasengr.

They’ll say, ‘Huh? Nasu-san, what you said just now is different from what you said three years ago,’ and I’ll say, ‘Hahaha, I guess that happens sometimes☆,’ but if there’s a really fatal mistake in the settings, I’ll fix it.”

So even if the details of the information and setting get a little shaky, as long as you have a firm grasp on what you're going to write about from the very beginning, like"I'm going to write about this theme for the next 10 years,"I think the river will flow.

Even with “information managers,” he contradicts himself, ignores “fatal errors,” and laughs it off. The idea of Nasu as a perfect, errorless canon authority is something he himself dismantles.

4. Canon = Theme, Not Detail

Nasu says as long as you stick to the core theme, “the river will flow,” even if details are shaky. This means:

  • Details are unreliable.
  • Consistency is unreliable.
  • What matters is theme, but even there, he admitted his themes changed over time.

Conclusion

The entire “Nasu is always right” excuse is baseless.

  • Old vs New Nasu: He said he’s a different person now.
  • Contradictions: His own works overwrite and negate each other.
  • Admitted Errors: He laughs off mistakes and relies on others to patch them.
  • Theme Over Detail: If even he doesn’t treat every word as sacred canon, why should readers?

If Nasu himself doesn’t demand blind reverence to consistency or continuity, then parroting “Nasu said” as an argument isn’t loyalty: it’s delusion.

Clinging to corporate-era Nasu while ignoring the KnK-era Nasu who actually built the foundation of the verse is hypocrisy. You aren’t defending canon; you’re defending contradictions. Even Nasu has said his works split and his intent has changed, so pretending it’s all one flawless canon is self-humiliation.

So let’s end this clearly: the Shikis obliterate Servants without difficulty, Araya Souren does have the First Magic, Future Gospel is a Frankenstein sequel that contradicts the novel, and the canons are split. You have truly nothing to stand on. If you want to argue, you must work with the text itself: treating it as a standalone work that only intersects with another TM series when the details don’t directly contradict.

Honestly, the sheer braindead reasoning these Type-Moon gooners display could fuel an infinite amount of content. But today, I just wanted to highlight the absurdity and audacity of claiming an official translation and every possible tool to understand it are “wrong,” simply because they can’t accept that their Arcueid is fodder to the actual top tiers of the verse. They should seriously save face and stop running their mouths against something they have zero understanding of.
